You will have fun. you will learn. you will feel good from taking this class. what an experience, great date night activity too! Kaz, the instructor, is passionate about the art of sushi and so willing to teach and share what he knows, with kindness. Thanks Kaz for the amazing time! He has 1 assistant help him and he was so attentive watching us make our rolls and giving tips for how to do it. Appreciate the attention, that's how you learn. If you've ever wondered about how to make or just love eating sushi (that's me!) then this is a fantastic opportunity. you get to practice a lot and take home rolls with you to share with family/friends or eat all of it yourself if you really want to! There was a thoughtful table of wasabi and ginger to put in your to go box at the end of the night, to finish up your plate. Recommend!

I am not much of a chef, and this class was a blast! Chef Kaz is friendly and an excellent teacher who puts on an engaging, fun class. Kaz taught us how to cut different types of fish, make traditional Japanese sushi and American-style rolls, and even make nigiri. As we practiced, he eagerly answered questions such as how to find good cuts of fish for your sushi. Kaz provided the highest quality fish and the sushi was delicious! All in all, it was a fun and rewarding activity. The delicious sushi you will make alone covers the price of admission! Highly recommend!

I highly recommend working with Breakthrough Sushi for corporate/team building events. Chef Kaz and his team were super easy to work with - clear communicators who were quick to respond to our initial request plus they helped us tweak the initial proposal to suit our small-ish group's interests and needs. The facility our event was held at (Consentino City) was easy to get to and really beautiful! Chef Kaz was patient (and funny!) as he shared some fun facts about preparing sushi and taught us tips and tricks for making tasty rolls! We did a lunch event and the ingredients were fresh, delicious, and filling. Would definitely recommend checking it out if you're looking for a unique team building activity that involves food.

This was so much fun! We had a wonderful time and learned all the tricks to making sushi at home. Kaz is a great teacher and breaks it down into a very easy to learn format. We also went home with leftover sushi and extra fish to make more. Looking forward to talking another class soon. Highly recommended!

Fun and tasty Sushi class with chef Kaz. We learned about and made California Roll、Rainbow Roll、Hand Roll and two other Japanese transitional rolls. It is definitely worth it for the price of the class. We had five different types of fish and We could make Sushi as much as we wish. Enough to eat lunch there and take some home for dinnerThe teacher is professional and fun. We really enjoy the class.

The lady and I went here to have our hand at making sushi and let us tell you, it was an absolute blast! Kaz was absolutely such a fun chef to learn the true basics on how to make rolls and we further understand the work and craftmanship that goes into preparing sushi. You'll soon learn that rice loves to stick to your hands or act like sand and pass through your fingers as if it's water. Something as simple as spreading rice on seaweed turned into a fun if not frustrating endeavor. Learned small tidbits about sushi that was reaffirmed by chef Kaz. While made for a more general audience (the lady and I enjoy Omakase more), it's a great bonding event for anyone.

This class was so much fun and completely awesome. I did a field trip to Mitsuwa Market in Saratoga to buy the ingredients, though others in the class did the kit. Everything was explained well and demonstrated in a way that was easy to follow. As we went, it got easier to get better rolls. Kaz is a great teacher. I would highly recommend this class, because we made delicious sushi and now have the confidence to make sushi again at home.

Our team at Genentech came to Breakthrough sushi for a team building event. I've always been to the design destrict and loved the area but never realized they also held classes here. The class started off with drinking a lot of sake and it was ample space and a private area in the middle of the center. The instructors were very patient and helped show us and then teach us the ways of putting the rice and sushi together, the intricacies behind rolling the sushi, and what to eat the sushi with. Overall a fun experience for our team and would highly recommend.

Best offsite ever! Kaz is super helpful and he got us a venue that is nice and also makes sure the plan fits our budget. We chose sashimi course and had the pleasure of learning from Chef Tak. First we learned to make simple california roll with real crab meat then the next try we are adding fish to make rainbow roll. Then we learned to cut sashimi and do handroll. A lot of us has no cooking talents but was able to produce something wonderful. Everyone had a great time learning something new while eating the sushi made by others. The dessert option at the end is also a must as those mochi icecream tastes wonderful. Overall, It's a great experience and I highly recommend it!
